Wealthy Affiliate Scam Review

At the end of February I found one of Wealthy Affiliate member's site which is bashing other affiliate programs. I don't have any problem with that, since that is just one of many marketing  techniques that is usually used by online marketers. So, after reading a bit about that website, finaly I was lead by referal link on that website to Wealthy Affiliate. The website, Wealthy Affiliate, claims that they will teach you about how to build your own online business for free, and yes you can sign up for free.

So I signed up and checked about this Wealthy Affiliate website. It has simple and straightforward interface with chatting platform just below its tutorial page. It's kinda convenient since you can interact with other members easily. Their tutorial is also easy to understand and follow. They give good information about how to create website, picking contents for your website, basically everything to start your own website, they also use their own hosting service to host their member's site, integrated with site builder.

Once i get used with the interface, I soon realise if many options on that site are off limit and I have 7 days to upgrade if I want continue to get live support. Nice tactic, taking it away after you feel convenient. Premium membership will cost $19 for the first month and $47 afterward. Hmm.. so that's how it works. I started to think if this site is just another program to make me spend my money.

But I did not stop and keep exploring, and after exploring a bit more I just realised if this site actually giving more than I thought for their free members. I thought it just another affiliate program that will force you to buy from them, no you can stay free as long as you want, and you will still gain a lot of knowledge about building your own blog or website. It will open your mind that creating website for yourself is not as hard as your thought, and it is very profitable. The content of your website is really up to you, they just help you to make your content more optimized so it will be ranked easier by google.

Ok, we have talked about their good points, lets talk about the down sides. It does not come with domain, they just provide hosting, you have to buy your domain separately at namecheap or whatever your favorite domain seller and transfer it to WA.

These calculation are my personal view to breakdown their membership cost.
Premium membership fee is $47.
$10 for hosting

$14,5 for premium services like keywords research service, which is marketed for higher price if you are not WA members. To get the idea, you can google how expensive this kind of services offered by similar sites.

Can WA last for the long run? It already stays for 10 years, that's a long time and it shows if the program has good foundation. There is hosting service included there, and that is pretty solid business. Besides, most likely you will feel too attached to leave their community. So i think yes, it will.

So.. should I join or not?

If you:

- know nothing about creating your own blog/website

- want to learn from zero with warm community that always trying to help you when you get stuck

- want to create successful website/blog for yourself (this is the main objective of this program)
- want to learn affiliate business (this is optional)
WA has wrapped it in one place for you. 

But if you are already expert at blogging, I don't think you will gain much from WA, unless you are interested with its affiliate program.

What is really good about this program is you will actually learn how to create your own website for whatever your passions are, unlike other programs that always focus on their affiliation scheme. The main course is not the affiliation part, if you are serious learning here, when you are graduate from their courses, you will have full knowledge about blogging and it will open your mind completely at different higher level about making money online. 

So is it scam or not? My personal opinion, NO it is not.
